Vettel Leads First Pirelli Test

Abu Dhabi – World champion Sebastian Vettel was back in Formula 1 car. After winning the F1 season in Abu Dhabi, in the same place the Red Bull driver has become the fastest in the first test Pirelli tires.

On the test morning in Yas Marina, Friday (19/11/2010), Vettel who holds a new world champion in F1 this appears convincing. The German driver has recorded the best lap time of 1 minute, 40.861 seconds after completing 34 laps.

While Ferrari’s Felipe Massa came in second place in the test. In third position is occupied by Renault driver Robert Kubica with a record time of 1 minute and 41.032 seconds in the test.

However, in these tests is not to find the fastest lap time but more on the introduction of Pirelli tires. Indeed, for the team, the test is to obtain data from the development of tires made by Pirelli.

F1 teams are also trying to get data from the development-performance Pirelli tires for their cars. Pirelli tire test is still to be resumed in the afternoon session of about three and a half hours.
