World champion Formula One (F1) Jenson Button is almost certainly accompanied Lewis Hamilton to the McLaren team competed in the 2010 season. The news spread after Button and his manager, Richard Goddard visited the McLaren headquarters in Woking, England, Friday, November 13, 2009.
Button and team principal guided Goddard McLaren, Martin Whitmarsh, around Woking. Most likely, the Button is currently involved in tough negotiations with GP Brawn will sign a contract with McLaren next week.
If this happens, McLaren again have a partner world champion, to reconcile 20 years after Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost.
"Jenson wants to drive a car that has a big chance to win the world championship. We've talked about this for months with Brawn when our demand is not hard, we even often puts all the Brawn," Goddard said as quoted by The Guardian newspaper pages.
Goddard insisted that Button did not pursue an annual salary of 10 million pounds as obtained Hamilton and Fernando Alonso. But Button clearly want more than 4 million pounds which he got from Brawn.
"I think it is important that Jenson wants to feel more appreciated, for it, he must explore all options," said Goddard.
McLaren looked Button after the action in the F1 series Brazil and Abu Dhabi. If you do not get the Button, McLaren plans to pursue a contract with Kimi Raikkonen and Nick Heidfeld.
Earlier, Raikkonen with managers David and Steve Robertson, has visited the McLaren on Wednesday, November 11. Duo manager-father's famous son has a master of negotiation skills.
They managed to make the Ferrari of Kimi Raikkonen paid 27 million pounds in 2008. They also successfully included a clause in the contract that forced Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen does not sell until 2010 when Finnish driver's particular achievement in the mid-2008.
Now, the clause that makes Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen should pay for between 15 to 17 million pounds to give place for Fernando Alonso.
